Who deserves the money more: children of millionaires, or poor children who need health care & school lunches?

The sheer malevolence of the Republican debate on the estate tax never fails to amaze me.Who deserves the money more: children of millionaires, or poor children who need health care %26amp; school lunches?! in 5 kids is poor, but America is the ONLY rich country

allocating $0.00 per kid in monthly allocations.

Want to compare that with say, France, Britain or Italy?

It'd make moms with no fruit in their American house CRY.Who deserves the money more: children of millionaires, or poor children who need health care %26amp; school lunches?
Between you and Mother Hubbard, how many times has either one of you been to any of these countries that Mother Hubbard memtion? You just take it all at face value as if because you can write it that makes it fact. You people are clueless!

The government, to any logical and sane person, is not about transferring money to those who you deem to *deserve* it more.

The children of the poor still get their health care and school lunches regardless of whether there is a death tax or not.

All the evil and malevolence is on the side who has hatred and envy for the wealthy, who want to steal away the wealth they acquired.

Why are you so evil and greedy? Why are you so filled with hatred and malevolence? WTF is wrong with you?Who deserves the money more: children of millionaires, or poor children who need health care %26amp; school lunches?Survival and good health are not a right that should be guaranteed by governments...people's personal decisions warrant what degree of quality they will have in their lives. If you have made poor decisions and can't afford to properly take care of your children, then it is not everyone else's responsibility to pay for the care of your children, maybe you shouldn't have had them then.

From what I have noticed in life, is that usually the children of millionaires end up more messed up than children of poor families, because the children of poor families have to work harder to become something in life. Children of millionaires grow up lazy, with everything handed to them...creating a government nanny state where the government hands everything to children of poorer families for free will just result in the same outcome...these children will grow up never learning how to take care of themselves.Who deserves the money more: children of millionaires, or poor children who need health care %26amp; school lunches?
In my opinion, whom ever the deceased requested as its was their money, redistribution of the wealth is unfair in my opinion and children are children. It is not my responsibility to educate, feed or house other peoples children. Don't breed them if you cant feed them. If I wish to leave all my money to charity that is my choice if I wish to donate some and leave some to my own children that should also be my choice, estate taxes are unfair in my view
Yes, we should reward people for having children they can't afford to care for and increase the likelihood that those children will grow up and repeat the cycle. Just because someone earned the money is no reason they should have it. They should give it to the ones that haven't earned it to waste it for generations to come.

You get less of what you punish and more of what you reward. Therefore your idea encourages people to not provide for themselves and discourages achievement.

Eventually the achievers will produce less. Why would they work that hard and accomplish so much to give it away? Then you will have less money to steal.

I would ask you how you feel about people taking what you've earned but it is very likely that anything that you have was earned by someone else.

The government has no right to tax personal wealth that has already been taxed. It isn't theirs and it's not yours anymore than the money in my bank account is yours.. I paid the tax on it already. You aren't entitled to other peoples' money, Go away.

"Congress has the power to pass laws, including about taxation. They can tax anything they want."

-You're not talking about taxation, you're talking about theft. If congress tried to pass something like this it would have a full scale rebellion on its hands.
You can't bring people out of poverty by taking money from one person and giving it to another. The poor people will just spend the money until it's gone while people who produce things of value are encouraged not to continue producing when they see the fruit of their labor taken.
actually it is a fair question... Who does deserve it more? Since they are kids both can be assumed to be free of sin or heck lets say equal so as not to offend any particular religion. So the question then hinges on whether you 'deserve' based on need or based on effort.

Really if I give all the money to the child of a millionaire the he is rich and the poor stay poor. If I give the money to the poor then the millionaires kid is poor and the poor is now rich. So why did the millionaires kid deserve to be poor?

Our parents strive to create a better life for thier kids. One of those natural law or inherent rights as I see it is to provide for my children as best as I am able and in point of fact to provide for them as I see fit. To tell someone that they may not provide wealth to thier children strips away the core of what it is to be human. Charity starts at home but does not end there. If I am able to make my kids wealthy then I am predisposed to the care of others. I will be far far more likely to extend that outreach to help others than I will if you take my wealth from the hands of my kids.

In true fact I'll hide it before I let you take it from them.

You really think the government spends money more efficiently than private charities? Silly.
Neither -- no one deserves anything. Why be the negligent parent who is not providing for their own children. You made the choice to have sex and/or to marry. The children are your responsibility. What are your excuses for not providing for your children?
This looks like an extreme left wing liberal rant to me. People who have money should be able to keep it. It should never be government's role to take and redistribute money. In the US we still have some rights.

A 55% inheritance tax is theft by government.
Nobody deserves more money . I recall a time when people sought to be treated equally in America.

Apparently that is no longer the case in that Democrats seem to believe that some children deserve more money than others.
Which group will contribute more to society? Which will burden society more? "Deserves" is the wrong word to use. You leftists will only be happy when there is no one of wealth left to make you feel insignificant about your own lives.
DESERVES it more are the children of millionaires. NEEDS it more is a different story. Quit twisting stuff around.
poor kids already get those 2 things, why do dems set limits so that children of working poor often do not get those two things.
The people who earned it deserve it more. It belongs to them.

Thou shalt not covet they neighbors money.
Another re-distribute the wealth leftist
Why do Democrats have so many kids they can't afford, then expect others to pay for their litters
Why should I have to pay more in taxes for some lazy chick that decides her life will be easier as a baby factory rather than being a responsible member of the community?
What's the point of earning money if people like you are going to decide that they don't deserve it.
it's not cheap being a millionaire!
