In an inter religious marriage which religion can the kid adapt?

My cousin married a muslim boy, she's a Hindu. Both stay in their religion. No conversions. Both families are quite ok with it. Now my cousin is concieved. Which religion can the child follow. OR is it mandatory to follow the father's religion as per indian law. Well that could be hard position for the child, the kid needs to have a comfortable childhood is important for a kid to enjoy their childhood. Don′t mistreat the kid obligating to follow up with beliefs he doesn′t understand yet...give him time to realize things on his own, questions will come up and curiosity will feed him mind at one point. Maybe if you teah the kid about both religion he come up with decisions and solutions that work for everybody....I know this because I′ve seen it i my family where Parents force the children to go to church making them to grow up sick of church and they get older 18+ they just abandon church maybe because bad memories and bad feeling attach to it.....In an inter religious marriage which religion can the kid adapt?He shouldn't follow any. Just have the ultimate Faith in God and leave it to God.
Allow the child to choose for him/herself, and not just between those two. Unfortunately Islam and Christianity says that kids will be baptised or sunnat...so kid will have same religion as per Father.



These obligations are not present in Hinduism.

the child can follow any religion it wants, though i beleive in muslim culture the child is suppossed to follow islam
You have to follow the Islam as per Muslim personal law.
Hopefully, they will be sent to a good school, they would learn science, and have no need for religion.
that is up to the parents, the child usually only gets a vote when they reach adulthood
none or any they like. dont force such a thing. let the child make its own educated decision when its older
