Another child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?

Another little child tortured and abused, procedures put in place after a previous run of neglect from all sides were not followed but again no one is to blame.

I don't know about you but I can't help but wonder why it is these days that no one is ever to blame for anything anymore.

How did accountability in health and other services disappear?

Now every few months when another tradegy occurs there is just a general wringing of hands and the usual not our fault, well I don;t agree do you?Another child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?can you reference the article you are referring to?

We have a flawed social services system, it's true, too many cases not enough social workers out in the field. They system was way less effective or virtually non-existent in the 70's and earlier though. You should read A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer. He wasn't rescued from his mom until about age 12, and he probably would have died in her care eventually had no one intervened.Another child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?
Don't know the case but it's the responsibility of the judicial process and not me to judge and pass sentence.

Write to your MP if you believe something is wrong with current state processes.Another child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm? That is the real point isn't it? The parents did this awful thing!

The reason there is hardly ever anyone else to be held directly responsible is because local authorities employ lots of Managers and Human Resources people who spend most of their time trying to stop Social Workers doing their jobs properly!

The reality behind these tragedies is that the Social Workers have almost always done everything humanly possible to help the child at risk, but they have been stopped by people with other agendas. Often due to the great God money!

I expect there will be much demand for a Social workers head....and I suspect there would be an even greater outcry if council taxes are put up in order to pay for enough social workers to do the job!!!
As far as I can see nothing has been lernt after the tragic case of Victoria Clombie the only good thing if there is one is the child was not killed The question must be asked why arn't the social services been taken to task aferall they took her away for adoption then returned her to 2 brutal parentsas regards accountability In the public sector at times like this nobody wants to take account and I fear it will always be soAnother child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?all they do is pass the blame they should try doing their jobsAnother child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?
i bet you that afterwards, social services will say as ever 'we will learn from our mistakes' or 'we will make sure this will never happen again'. yeah right, pull the other one. time and time again, children are being abused and treated like crap by their evil and cruel tormentors, whilst the authorities, police etc choose to wring their hands of any blame and deny any responsibility on their part. when on earth are they going to admit that they were wrong, as well as go to great lengths to prevent these things from happening again, i ask? bloody social services. of course there are some who do a great job, don't get me wrong but there are those who wish to let the others within their own profession down. and they say lessons will be learned from this tragedy- just as when they said the same thing when victoria climbie was murdered. it's all bull and hand on heart, i'm sick of it. the buck stops right here and the people at the top should have the audacity to resign. better still they ought to be sacked. if they are not willing to condemn the actions of those ranked below them, then they are not fit enough to continue in their role.
I agree with you. It's terrible to hear about the little girl- thank god she didn't lose her life. Sueing is the main problem, someone can sue anyone for anything today. If a teacher trys to stop a pupil from walking out of a class, and touches the child in means to stop him/her, then the teacher would get 'done' for harassment e.t.c. Maybe people don't actually know how to react. Today it's all about caring for yourself, if you blame someone and are wrong- then you can get 'done' too. Responsibility is gone.Another child tortured and again no one to blame is this now the norm?
I don,t know the case your talking about but I do agree with you the problem is and it is sad to say but there is no money in poor kids so no one cares case workers are supposedly over worked I don,t believe that just another way of passing the buck does anyone care about the children any more it hurts me to my heart to see one of the hurt in any way if it was only up to me there would be a lot less grown people walking around on this earth but it,s not up to me so I have to set back and wait for the next story about a child that could not defend it self against an adult who want,s to take advantage of a child it is sickening
Well just about a week ago their was a death of a 3 year old boy in EDMOTON ALBERTA the foster mom beat him to death did you hear about that too?
The world is far from perfect and no matter how 'ideal' the systems in place, failures will always occur. All we can do is to try to learn from the mistakes.
It's sick when it came on the radio first I listened a bit then when they said what happened I had to knock it off I couldn't listen and when it came again I couldn't listen. I bet the parents only get a "slap on the wrist" meaning a very light sentence.
Whilst wishing hell fire and damnation for paedophiles ( which does include some relatively minor sexual misdemeanors as well as the serious ones), there seems to be very little ongoing condemnation for what must be an even worse offence, that of cruelty/torture, and even murder, toward children.
I am in complete agreement with you.

I put a lot of the blame on the do gooders whose policies are mustn't do this mustn't do that. let's have the birch and capitol punishment back before thing's get completely out of hand.
A little girl was beaten starved and brutalised to death by her vile parents in Bridgend, South Wales a few years ago.

Yet again Social Services let this poor little thing down and obviously beleived her parents when they kept claiming her bruises were the result of "falling down the stairs" or "tripping over". The difference is that the little girl whose parents were sentenced recently was lucky enough to be saved before those b*stards killed her. The little one in Bridgend wasn't so lucky.

I want to know who f*cked up and didn't do their job properly in both these cases. And I want them sacked.
I totally agree with you, lessons to be learnt from the last tragedy could not have been plainer, yet it goes on, and on and on! No official ever seems to be accountable to anyone for anything that goes wrong, through their negligence. It is a sign of a very insecure society. We need people of integrity in these positions of trust, in our leaders and our judiciary. Why can't some Judge make a decision based on the facts and evidence as to who is to blame and blame them! Let them lose their job if they cannot manage to do the work they are paid to do, out they go!
