Or perhaps you should think about what you are doing and not take the trip until after the child is 6 months old and able to take the disruption better. You get insurance, less chance of the child crying the entire way and disturbing your fellow passengers and you get coverage. There is a reason insurance does not kick in until then. Too great of a risk that there will be a claim filed. In other words the child is at a much greater risk of illness, injury, or death.
