Does hitting your children have long term health consequences?

My parents used to hit me in the head pretty hard when I was a young. Does it create health problems later on? Like now im clumsy(I trip often and sometimes I swerve when I walk), I have a terrible memory.. Does hitting your children have long term health consequences?I'm sorry to hear this. You should talk to a doctor about it. That's the only way to know for sure.

I used to trip and swerve. Then I started these foot exercises: lie down on the floor on your back. Bring one knee up to your chest (barefoot). Hold the leg still while you make twenty ankle circles in each direction. Do both legs. The tripping and swerving stopped completely. I read a book that talked about why this works, but it's too complicated to go into here.

I wonder if the terrible memory might be related to psychological distress? I would think if your parents treated you that way you would have a lot of things to get over. I've met people who seemed like screw-ups until they straightened some basic things out ... and then everything in their lives worked better. Counseling might help.

Good luck. One book I read said this: "Remember. If you're breathing, there's a lot more right with you than there is wrong with you!"Does hitting your children have long term health consequences? It can depending on how hard they hit you.Usually my parents just took a belt to our butts and that was enough to straighten us out.
