Can i go to jail for violation a child visitation order?

Christmas day it was raining/ice. I called my baby's father and said i was not driving in it. That he wasn't going to get him. Now yes i violated the court order because of my son's safety. Now isn't he violating the court order when he's ordered to get him and calls me and says he can't? Not paying childsupport? Supose to keep health insurance on him?Can i go to jail for violation a child visitation order?Yes you are justified in the weather but you can not keep him from seeing the kid because of the child support, it's separate in most states. Now if you take him to court enough you can get him locked up for not paying but you still can't keep him from seeing him because of it.Can i go to jail for violation a child visitation order? There are reasonable excuses for cancelling a child visitation. If there was no state of emergency on the roads and you refused to drive anyways while resonable people are out driving and it was in the order that you must drive the child to visitation, then you are in violation of the order. Rain and ice is hardly an excuse to ignore a court order. His violations are not an excuse for your violations....both can reap punitive actions. His call to cancel a visit is not a violation since he is not ORDERED to see his child, he simply has the rights to visitation. Child support and health insurance are his responsibility if it is in the court order that he is the one who pays. Can i go to jail for violation a child visitation order?Yes he must pay child support, provide insurance an pick up his child. If he tries to take you to court over this get your lawyer ready and hit him back with a counter suit. If you live in TX the court will understand if you were supposed to drive you child because everything shuts down when the roads are icy except for the mall. Can i go to jail for violation a child visitation order?
I think you are justified because the weather. Child support and visitation are totally separated matter for court in some states, so check it out
