which one do you think is better for children and for all humans. teaching them stories from bible or religious books or about their mental and emotional health. Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?I'm really laughing right now because that is an interesting way of putting it! But yes, emotional and mental health definitely. Because they need those things before they can learn about or study anything else. Plus the stories of Hell and very damaging to a child's mental health. Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?
it is important to raise them as naturally as you can, teaching them what you can without forcing them. It is good to look at them like at humans and to talk with them sincerely. The bible is important not for itself, but for the Holy Spirit in and through whom it was written. The purpose of the human life is obtaining the Holy Spirit, but because we do not know how to do that , who the Holy Spirit is and how to recognize him, we should try at least to try to have his fruits: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. And I would say, that something that gives him a chance to remember always not to waste his life and to rise if he will fall, which is mercy. But above all you must be natural, you must not say you believe things you do not really believe just to make him believe them. His profound human structures, given by god to all men, are those you must protect and hope he will keep when he will be a mature person. If you do not know something, try to be sincere. If you do not know what is good do not try to replace that through something that will limit his human capacities, freedom, goodness.Try to find the truth for you and always to have advices given from your hart, not because you do not know what to say. Be gentile with him, this is important, love him, even if you do not know theories. Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?many stories in the bible are about mental and emotional health...Jesus Christ was the greatest psychologist who ever lived...
edit: yep. serious as a heart attack...if you knew anything about him, versus what you have been told, you would see where i'm coming from...
Mental/emotional health for sure. If people spent as much time teaching their kids about mental/emotional health as they do indoctrinating them, I'm sure suicide and depression rates would drop dramatically. Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?Well, since the Bible is a fiction, fairy-tale. Why not include it with all the other fairytales you read your kids, like Cinderella and Little Red Riding hood?Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?
You can combine both because scripture is about right living, and that promotes emotional, mental and spiritual health.
We should be teaching children about the Bible and trusting in the Lord. This is very important and of course salvation that comes from Jesus Christ. =)Is it better to teach children about Bible or emotional and mental health of humans?
The latter without a doubt. It is far more practical knowledge.
"Jesus Christ was the greatest psychologist who ever lived"
Are you being serious here?
Their mental and emotional health.
Teaching children bible is child abuse.
The Bible as it teaches how to be in control in all the relationships of man.
What good will the latter do in 150 years? Teaching the The Bible will help them for eternity.
I would never teach a child the nonsense fairy tales in the bible!
Why can't they learn both?
some of each
all of it.
