Could a cobalamin deficiency during pregnancy cause both the mother and child to form mental illness?

We'll say hypothetically, If a person was a vegetarian during pregnancy and admittedly drank alcohol and smoke, then could the above question be answered as yes? Since B12 vitamins are required for the function of a healthy brain and nervous system, I'm wondering if the above deficiency could result in both mental health issues for her and the child?Could a cobalamin deficiency during pregnancy cause both the mother and child to form mental illness? The alcohol alone would cause FAS, never mind the smoking %26amp; B12 deficiency. Any mental illness that may be symptomatic to the mother, may be due only to post - partum depression. But judging from the mother's lifestyle that you describe, there were mental health issues LONG before pregnancy.
