Not near me. I can't think of one; why I even know a homeless man who just had his teeth worked on.Are there many children dying without health care in your area?you are a mean spirited Republican...and Rush is too fat..Glenn Beck is a drunk and Pastor Ted....Are there many children dying without health care in your area?
Not really and it doesn't in fact happen very often. In a population of over 300 million it's suprisingly rare that you hear of a child dying because he didn't receive health treatment.
With saying that, many children do suffer unneccessarily because the parent let's a sickness run its course (due to lack of health insurance) instead of seeing a Doctor to ease the child's pain / symptoms. Likewise there are illnesses that aren't initially "emergencies" but because parents wait to seek help they do become emergencies. Even though they get treatment the scars / lingering affects often last thru their adult life. Are there many children dying without health care in your area? How about you look at what the WHO has published concerning infancy deaths in the US compared to those nations with Universal Health Care.
Because you can't see any in your neighborhood doesn't mean it doesn't happen in America, it does.
If it isn't raining in your area does it mean it doesn't rain in the US?
Come on now.
No. In our state and most states in the U.S,, all children are given health care insurance even if their family can't afford it. I looked into this program for a family member and it is a very good program. It includes full heath insurance plus food subsidies if needed.
I was working in Texas and they were having adds on TV begging people to sign up their children, because they were having trouble getting everyone to take advantage of this program.I am not sure why. Seems like everyone would care about their children. Are there many children dying without health care in your area?no...a not-for profit hospital cannot turn people away who need care and cannot forcefully collect payment for services. it would invalidate their irs status. FACT. if you have no health insurance and need care and walk into an emergency room and find you need to be admitted to have your problem taken care of, you will get the care you need. Are there many children dying without health care in your area?
Over the past ten years I have lived in a variety of environments ranging from basically the ghettos to upper middle class areas to military housing and have not heard of a single child dying from inability to get health care.
I have though read about and actually seen children being used for the care givers benefit (aka money).
Do they have to DIE to get your attention, or empathy? As for the homeless man, I seriously doubt "you know" any homeless people--not with your disgusting elitist attitude.
Recently on a Monday morning, as I sat in my dentist's chair for routine care, with my bourgeois health care, I heard an uninsured young cajun man come in and ask, in a humble, embarrassed quiet voice, if he could be seen--my dentist once had a reputation for "working people in"...the receptionist rather cold-heartedly told him the Dr. no longer saw non-patients.
The heartlessness of health care in this country, from top to bottom, makes me sick. So why don't you go peddle your heartless klaptrap elsewhere, Repug? It literally makes me want to vomit...if I'd thought of it in time, I'd have gladly given up my seat to the young man, given him a hundred bucks or so, and come back another day.
He'd obviously suffered all weekend. Dying as a child is easy compared to suffering with a toothache all weekend...
EDIT: AceKings, I adore %26amp; collect dialects, and live in a region where there's a distinct difference; besides, I may have caught a glimpse of him as I peered around the door, it's a small office...do we have a learning disability here?
Also, a "bleeding heart liberal" didn't give up her chair in time in a dentist's office...could it be that a stingy, greedy, "me first, me, mine, screw you" thinking nation (oh, no, Not *YOU*, ACEKING), might wait too late to fix a broken system that needs fixing before it takes us all under? That's an "analogy" for those of you (oh, no, Not *YOU*, ACEKING), who'd rather pop off about stereotypes than THINK too deeply about this...Are there many children dying without health care in your area?
So are you saying health care in America is in great shape? Everyone gets all the health care they need? That costs are handled efficiently, and that costs do not increase at greater than the rate of inflation?
All based on a single data point--what you know about your own area?
Brilliant research skills there, fella.
According to Democrats' numbers, no.
Take the "47 million uninsured"
Subtract out illegal aliens, people earning over $50,000, people already ELIGIBLE for subsidized care and people who are "uninsured" for less than a few months while they change plans and there is literally NO ONE left.
Seriously - NO ONE.
None. As a matter of fact, I spent Monday last week in the Emergency Room with my Mother-in-law after she ripped a bone deep gash in her leg from the ankle to the knee.
We waited over an hour and a half while the children of, obviously illegal aliens, were treated for the sniffles ahead of her.
Everybody who needs care gets it now. The emergency rooms are full of them, welfare pays a bloody fortune for the career welfare moochers. Nobody is dying in the streets, contrary what the socialists would have others believe.
Thank you for asking...yes there are but the local news media doesn't report on black infant deaths...its just not that important to them as it doesn't generate the number of viewers as say, the local state fair is coming up, get your cream puffs now! See...nice and fuzzy.
To Libby,
How did you know he was black if you only heard him? that's kinda racist. you should check your self in for some mental rehabilitation. your bourgeois insurance will now pay for it, due to our chairman.
oh yea, and you didnt give up your chair though, did you?
YES MY DAUGHTER JUST DIED 3 WEEKS AGO BECAUSE HER INSURANCE SAID THAT SHE HAD A PER-EXSISTING ILLNESS EVEN THOW SHE HAS BEEN PAYING FOR INSURANCE FOR 4 YEARS, AND THEY REFUSED TO PAY THE DOCTORS WICH MEANT THAT NO DOCTOR WOULD GIVE HER CARE WHICH RESULTED IN MY DAUGHTER DIEING, SO ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT'S TALKING ALL THAT TRASH I HOPE THAT THE SAME SITUATION THAT CAME TO MY FAMILY WOULD COME TO YOURS AND THAN YOU WILL SEE WHAT EVERONE IS TALKING ABOUT.
They're dropping like flies! We have to dig mass graves to bury them all before the vultures get to them. And not only that, but the starving, sickly children line all the streets, on the verge of collapse. It's pitiful!
I wouldn't know, I'm totally middle-class and I can easily afford health insurance. Perhaps if I lived in a less wealthy neighborhood I would find some. But no, I think I'll stick to my own close-minded view of the world...
The teeth of homeless people in the United States are in better condition than the teeth of people in England with its socialist healthcare.
RaGS sez : Yup! And there are homeless men as well as toothless men here, too. And there are also homeless, toothless men here, as well. But are we going to get our healthcare soon? I hope so, because my arthritis is really acting up.
No...They're all being taken care of. My question is...why do all these parents that have kids they can't afford, have money for tattoos, booze, cigarettes, dope, etc..?
There are some illegals that may suffer, but not an american that I know of. This whole healthcare bill is a crock and should be burned where it lays.
They are not dying or going to bed hungry. Thats just some liberal crap.
None, we have TENNCARE where I live and lots of poor people have that to fall back on.
Thank you for an honest perspective.
Nope- truly poor people have medicaid
No.
None that I am aware of.
Nope!
no,only ones being killed before they have a chance to even be born
You must live in a good area. Yeah. We've had more than a few die of inadequate healthcare, and I live in a small town.
Is it possible you just don't know? I'd imagine no one would have the time to read every obituary.
