I am just one of MANY former Republicans, scared off by the irrational, uneducated, hate-filled, lying, fear-mongering, neoCon "loon-fringe", who have hijacked the G0P...Why would the Republicans file law suits to stop the saving of lives of our children and stop Health Care?
Because the government FORCING citizens to purchase anything violates state and individual rights under the Constitution.



Do you understand that this healthcare bill does NOTHING to provide people with healthcare, rather it FORCES people, including those who can't afford it, to buy coverage. Then, if you can't afford it, you still won't have health insurance but you'll also have to pay a $600-$1200 fine EVERY YEAR enforced by the IRS.



Read the bill as you are obviously and pittifully misinformed.Why would the Republicans file law suits to stop the saving of lives of our children and stop Health Care?You do understand that if the lawsuits prevail, we'll still be ok with you buying insurance for your kids,right?
Im not a republican but i dont think are trying to kill kids and stop health care.. They are just fighting for what is constitutional and protecting our rights. If Congress and the president are exempt from the health care program, isn't that enough said?
The foremost duty of an elected US Official, including the President is to defend the Constitution of the United States. Today, Polls show the American people want that, and they want jobs before anything else. Our children need healthcare, and they are not denied such now even if it is not a perfect system. But, our children need to have life to live for, and they will pay for all things invented by Washington Democrats, including malfeasance.
First off, because they intend not to go down without a fight. They just lost a very big battle even after many million dollars was spent on lobbying, after many millions was spent on negative advertising and a whole lot of effort was made to spread lies everywhere in an effort to stop it. They are wounded and must do everything they can to try and gain face. At the moment they look rather dumb. They also don't want to see Obama in the White House any longer than is necessary and they equate killing healthcare with destroying him (ref Sen Jim DeMint's comment that healthcare will be Obama's Waterloo. He's still saying it). Secondly, some people see this as an infringement on states rights. Unfortunately for us they will be spending a boatload of our money to try to win these suits. The states are already hurting financially and now they will have to come up with more money to fight a losing battle.
